• Auto-Iris Lenses: This type of lens automatically adjusts to the varying light levels. It contains an iris aperture that helps to maintain proper light on the face plate of the camera for clear picture and a reliable monitoring. There are 2 different types of auto iris lenses available in the market, the Video Type Auto Iris Lens and the DC Type Auto Iris lens. The Video Type Auto Iris Lens is equipped with an internal amplifier which gets the voltage and video signal from the camera and adjusts the iris accordingly whereas the DC Type Auto Iris Lens has no amplifier but contains a built-in circuit that adjusts the voltage and video signal.

A c-mount camera can be made compatible with the CS-mount lens using a 5mm adapter but a CS-mount lens is only compatible with CS-mount cameras. CS-mount lenses are cost- effective as compared to C-mount lenses.
