Given the unreliable nature of low-cost wireless security products currently on the market, we do not offer these items at this time. Wired vs. Wireless

Wireless refers to the wireless transmission of the images from the camera to the DVR. A wireless camera must still be powered from an outlet or other source of A/C power. Since most cameras are mounted in the ceiling, you will be left with an unsightly power cord running down the wall to an outlet. A wired camera uses a pair of audio/ video cables (concealed in the ceiling) for both transmitting images and powering the camera. Generally speaking, the low cost wireless cameras in the market today are inferior to a wired camera in terms of image quality and speed.

While there are some systems utilizing high power transmitters and receivers that may provide reliable high-quality long-distance images and recordings, they are currently cost prohibitive for most customers. Also, the proliferation of wireless devices in the home and office is making truly reliable wireless cameras even more difficult to design at reasonable costs.

• High-power wireless cameras can interfere with home and office computer networks using the same wireless frequencies and other wireless devices such as alarm systems and home automation products.
• Installing wireless cameras and getting them to work reliably often requires professional installers and expensive high-power systems.

As a longstanding leader in the security industry, our engineers have firsthand experience with interference and unreliable signal problems.

We continually test and monitor the latest wireless/microwave technologies (2.4 GHz, 5.8GHz). We are following FCC actions in the new "White Spaces" created by the migration to digital television broadcasts. These newly available frequencies may provide better solutions for wireless security cameras that the present bands do not allow.
